Symptoms:
Attempting to write to DVD-R media with the Sony DRU-500 results in errors.

Cause:
Firmware version 1.0 for the Sony DRU-500 does not support DVD-R media correctly.

Resolution:
Update the firmware for the Sony DRU-500 drive to the latest version.
